L
Manteca Unified School District
Soil&Groundwater Investigation Report
Page: 4
3.0 CONCLUSIONS
LA sample collected from directly under the diesel dispenser during the 1998 underground
tank removal disclosed relatively high levels of diesel fuel at three feet in depth. Recent
soil boring and sampling, conducted in the area of the former tank and dispenser, has
detected low to trace levels of diesel fuel in the soil from 8 to 30 feet bgs and in the
groundwater (<1 ppm) under the concrete slab of the shop building.
While these concentrations are significantly low, further characterization may be required
by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department.
The above represents our best professional opinion as to environmental conditions at this
site. These opinions were derived using data at hand, and standards of care common to
r the environmental consulting community in Northern California. There is the possibility
L that even with proper application of the above methodologies, there may exist on the
subject property conditions that could not be identified within the scope of this sampling
work or which were not reasonably identifiable from the available information. The
methodologies included in this report are not intended to produce all inclusive or
comprehensive results, but rather to provide the client with information regarding
apparent suspicions of existing and potential adverse environmental conditions relating to
the subject property. Additional work at this site may generate data that could lead to a
change of opinion regarding conditions or appropriate remedial procedures or both.
Prepared by: r'FpO
I• Q' WILLIAM R.
