Kloberdanz & Associates proposes to drill 5 Geoprobe borings in the vicinity of the
previously disclosed contamination, including the assumed northerly down gradient
direction to (Figure 2). Four soil samples will be obtained from each boring for
laboratory analysis. A water sample will be collected at the groundwater interface and
prior to termination of the boring. Soil samples will be collected at five-foot intervals for
geological interpretation and laboratory analysis (as described below). Samples will be
delivered under chain of custody to an analytical laboratory licensed by the State of
California for hazardous materials work. The samples shall be analyzed for Total
Petroleum Hydrocarbons (diesel), BTX&E (Benzene, Toluene, Xylene, and Ethyl
Benzene by method 8021B. MTBE and fuel oxygenates will not be analyzed since the
compounds were not detected in earlier analyses by method 8260.
M.J. Kloberdanz & Associates will conduct a survey of possible municipal, domestic,
agriculture, industry or other water wells within a 2000 foot radius of the former diesel
tank. The survey will involve contacting local drillers, the county permitting agency and
3
_ - 77-
_ -
