12 January 2007 <br /> AGE-NC Project No. 96-0232 <br /> Page 6 of 7 <br /> of well MW-4 to further define the north and eastern sectors of the TPH-d plume; initiate <br /> interim remediation to control the migration and reduce the concentrations of the petroleum <br /> hydrocarbon ground water plume at the site. <br /> AGE: 30 May 2006: AGE recommended in the quarterly report that upon end of the high volume <br /> and unseasonably long rainy season, renewed efforts to locate monitoring well MW-5. <br /> Additionally, locate well MW-4 and place protective and visible protective cement crash <br /> poles surrounding wells susceptible to industrial and construction activity damage; install <br /> monitoring wells to the north of well MW-1 and to the east of well MW-4 to further define <br /> the north and eastern sectors of the TPH-d plume. Ground water grab samples collected in <br /> July 1999 from historical soil borings PS and P9 provide some lateral delineation to the north <br /> and east,respectively;to initiate interim remediation to control the migration and reduce the <br /> concentrations of the petroleum hydrocarbon ground water plume at the site. <br /> AGE: 23 August 2006:AGE recommended in the quarterly report to locate monitoring well MW-5 <br /> (note:MW-5 was located in an unuseable condition during the 3rd quarter activities.Details <br /> of MW-5 condition will be reported in the next quarterly monitoring report);place protective <br /> and visible cement crash poles surrounding wells susceptible to industrial and construction <br /> activity damage (note: crash poles were installed surrounding wells MW-2 through MW-4 <br /> during the 3rd quarter activities. Details will be reported in the next quarterly monitoring <br /> report;performf irther assessment of both the lateral and vertical impacted ground water with <br /> geoprobe borings and grab water samples to the west, north and east of monitoring well <br /> MW-1;to initiate interim remediation to control the migration and reduce the concentrations <br /> of the petroleum hydrocarbon ground water plume at the site. <br /> AGE: 05 December 2006: AGE recommended in the quarterly report to properly destroy damaged <br /> well MW-5 and well replacement if necessary;perform further assessment of both the lateral <br /> and vertical impacted ground water with off-site borings and grab water samples to the west, <br /> north and east of monitoring well MW-1; initiate interim remediation to control the <br /> migration and reduce the concentrations of the petroleum hydrocarbon ground water plume <br /> at the site. <br /> AGE: Jan/Feb 2007: DRAFT RECOMMENDATIONS - REPORT NOT FINALIZED.
