Harlin Knoll [EH]
From: Brian Millman <bmiliman@advgeoenv.com>
Sent: Thursday, February 21, 2013 12:13 PM
To: Harlin Knoll [EH]
Cc: wlittle@advgeoenv.com; Nuel Henderson [EH]; Robert Marty
Subject: RE:Case Closure Summary--850 Milgeo Ave. Ripon CA - Shockey Trucking
Mr. Knoll,
Plans to develop the property to the north of the site have been cancelled; I believe the buyer backed out. A
Property Available sign went up on the property a few weeks ago. I contacted the real estate development
company and they confirmed that the property is up for sale and there are no development plans as of today.
The ozone well locations are depicted in the site plan submitted with previous reports for the site; the wells
have not been visually observed recently due to pallets of materials stored on-site from the operating business.
The ozone wells will be located and uncovered during preparation procedures for well destruction. Four of the
six ozone wells are located in areas of suspected contamination and will have to be over-drilled. Two of the
ozone wells are in non-contaminated areas. The proposed destruction methods for all the wells at the site will
be provided in the well destruction work plan which will be included in the closure summary report as directed
by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department letter dated 20 January 2013.
Thanks,
Brian W. I have been concerned with the off-site MWs near the property that is scheduled for
developed. And I'm sure you are as well (see recommendation in the latest AGE Report). These wells could be damages
very easily and I'm hopeful that they are destroyed before any damage occurs. Have you research the on-site ozone well
installations? William Little was the AGE project manager at the time of installation. I suspect all of them were installed
in the contaminated area and they need to be over-drilled. Please let me know if any were installed in non-
contaminated areas.
Thank you,
Harlin Knoll,Senior REHS
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
