4 <br /> WORK PLAN ADDENDUM <br /> February 1996 <br /> Shockey and Sons Trucking <br /> 850 Milgeo Avenue <br /> Ripon, California <br /> 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Lee Shockey of Shockey and Sons Trucking, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Work Plan Addendum for the installation of four <br /> monitoring wells and the collection of ground water samples at 850 Milgeo Avenue, in Ripon, <br /> California (the site). The location of the site is depicted in Figure 1-Location Map. A plan of the <br /> site is included in Figure 2 - Site Plan. <br /> The investigation is performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage (UST) sites. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> 2.1. SITE LOCATION <br /> The site is located on west side of Milgeo Avenue at the intersection Wilma Road, adjacent to <br /> Highway 99. The property is zoned industrial and is presently utilized as a distribution warehouse. <br /> Local land use in the immediate vicinity of the site is agricultural and industrial; residential areas are <br /> located south of the site. <br /> 2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL <br /> It is our understanding that six USTs were removed from three separated excavations on the property <br /> in April 1994: one waste oil UST, one diesel UST and four unleaded gasoline USTs. Petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected from beneath the USTs at the time of removal. <br /> Soil excavated during the UST removal was used to backfill each excavation. Clean soil was <br /> imported to "cap"each excavation. <br /> 2.3. PRELRvffNARY SITE INVESTIGATION <br /> In December 1995, AGE advanced five soil probings at the site. Free hydrocarbon product was <br /> encountered in ground water samples collected from the site. However, soil samples indicated that <br />
