08 September 2008
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0185
3.2. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL AND GRAB GROUND WATER SAMPLES
`Twelve soil samples from pilot borings MW6 through MW11, and sixteen samples from soil
borings B-20, B-21 and B-23, were analyzed for the constituents listed in Section 2.2.1. TPH-D
was detected in sample B-23-20 at a concentration of 270 µg11. No constituents of concern
(COCs) were not detected at or above detection limits in any of the other soil samples analyzed.
Four grab ground water samples were collected from borings B-20, B-21 and B-23; samples
were analyzed for the constituents listed in Section 2.1.2. CDCs were not detected at or above
laboratory detection limits in any of the grab ground water samples analyzed.
Analytical results of soil and grab ground water samples are summarized in Tables 2 and 3. The
laboratory reports (CTEL Project No. CT214-0711173, 080125, 0806045 and 0806046), quality
assurance and quality control (QA/QC)reports, and chain of custody forms are included in
Appendix F. Confirmation numbers for GeoTracker submittals of laboratory electronic
deliverable format (EDF) are 766594564, 8978747308, 7877944052, 7877944052 and
6102238535.
4.0. CONCLUSIONS
Based on the data collected at this site, AGE concludes:
• Soil impacted by TPH-d was detected at boring B-23 at 20 feet bsg, which is located
near the former UST excavation.
• The site lithology primarily consists of sandy silts and fine-grained sands; depth to water
is between 25 and 30 feet bsg.
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report, AGE recommends:
• Continued quarterly ground water monitoring at the site, the third quarter monitoring
event was completed on 22 July 2008.
• Submittal of a corrective action plan, which will be based on data collected during the
third quarter 2008 monitoring event.
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc.
