After appropriate dilution, samples were plated onto TSA and MSA <br />' supplemented with 1000 ppm of a 90%110% diesellgasolinel mix (for soil samples) and 100 <br /> ppm diesel (for water sample) as sole carbon substrates. Media were prepared at ambient pH. <br /> Cultures were incubated under aerobic conditions at room temperature for six (6) days prior <br />' to enumeration.
