EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br />Chemical spill or leak: <br />Determine if you can safely clean the spill <br />Small spill and low hazard = ok to clean <br />Large spill and/or high hazard = EVACUATE! <br />Contain the spill if safe to do so <br />Clean up small liquid spills using absorbent pads or <br />paper towels <br />Place cleaning materials in a Ziploc bag and dispose as <br />hazardous waste (label appropriately) <br />Call Public Safety for larger spills (>1 gal) or high <br />hazard materials <br />9/18/2019 <br />EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br />In Case of Emergency, Call Public <br />Safety <br />x63911 or (209) 946-3911 <br />(Enter this number in your cell phone right now) <br />Exposure: <br />Help the exposed individual to the nearest <br />eyewash or shower and have them rinse <br />for 15 minutes. <br />Report chemical exposures and injuries to <br />a supervisor as soon as it is safe to do so. <br />8
