INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of the Estate of Chester Farris (property/tank owner),Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> ' Inc (AGE) has prepared the enclosed Monitoring Well Installation Report for 545 East Miner <br /> Avenue, Stockton, California (the site) The scope of work Included the advancement of five soil <br /> borings, collection and analysis of soil samples and Installation of monitoring wells at the boring <br /> ' locations The location of the site is Illustrated on Figure 1 and a plan of the site is illustrated on <br /> Figure 2 <br /> ' This report was prepared in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB)guidelines for Investigations of UST sites Background information,Including details <br /> ' of the UST removal and previous site assessment work, was presented In AGE's Monitoring Well <br /> Installation Work Plan <br /> ' 2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION <br /> l <br /> ie On 13 and 14 August 2002,five soil borings MW-1 though MW-5 were advanced utilizing a hollow <br /> stem auger drill rig for the collection and analysis of soil samples and installation of five ground <br /> water monitoring wells(Figure 2) Soil borings MW-1 and MW-2 were advanced approximately 10 <br /> ' feet north and south,respectively,of the former UST excavation,soil boring MW-3 was established <br /> within the former dispenser area,and soil borings MW-4 and MW-5 were established approximately <br /> 15 feet northeast and 10 feet north, respectively, of the former dispenser area <br /> ' Field work was preformed as described in the AGE-prepared Monitor <br /> trig Well Installation Work <br /> Plan, dated 08 July 2002, as amended and approved by the San Joaquin Country Environmental <br /> ' Health Department (EHD) by letter dated 18 July 2002 <br /> ' 2 1 SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS <br /> Soil borings were advanced using a truck-mounted CME 75-HT drill rig equipped with 8-inch <br /> ' continuous flight hollow-stem augers, the drill rig and two-man crew were supplied by West Haz <br /> Mat Drilling of Rancho Cordova, California Soil borings MW-1 through MW-4 were advanced to <br /> ' a depth of 35 feet bsg, soil boring MW-5 was advanced to a depth of 75 feet bsg, to be completed <br /> as depth discrete ground water monitoring well Auger returns generated by drilling were <br /> contamenzed in properly labeled DOT-approved model 17H 55-gallon drums and was stored on-site <br /> ' Soil samples were collected from the soil borings at five-foot intervals beginning at 5 feet bsg in <br /> . borings MW-1 through MW-4 and at 60 feet bsg m boring MW-5 The samples were collected with <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
