Miner Avenue
Stockton, California
I
Dear Ms. Meays:
In accordance with the request of Mr. Roger Fox of D. A. Parrish & Sons, Inc., Geological
Audit Services, Inc. (GeoAudit) collected 17 soil samples atl2905 E. Miner Avenue in.'
_., Stockton, California. Samples were collected following the re-excavation of the former
10,008-gallon gasoline underground storage tank (UST) area.;The UST was removed on
September 21, 1989.
On August 11, 1994, seven samples were collected from thelfloor and sidewalls of the
excavation. Samples B1-17 and B2-16 were collected from the bottom of the excavation at
depths of 17 feet and 16 feet respectively. Sample E1-12 was collected from the east wall
at a depth of 12 feet. Samples S1-15 and S2-13 were collected from the south wall at depths
of 15 feet and 13 feet respectively. Sample N1-14 was collected from the north wall at a depth of 14 feet.
The samples were collected in brass sleeves; the ends of each sleeve were covered with
aluminum sheets, capped and sealed with tape. The samples were then place in a chilled
container and transported under chain-of-custody to Sparger Technology, Inc. (SPI). Each t
sample was analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTE&X in accorldance with the appropriate
EPA method. The laboratory report and chain-of-custody are.included in Attachment A; a`
field sketch of the approximate sample locations is included. i
During excavation, soil was segregated into "clean" and impacted stockpiles using a photo- I
ionization detector. Samples SP-1 and SP-2 were collected from the "clean" stockpiles on
August 11, 1994. Both samples were analyzed by SPI for TPH asigasoline and BTE&X: The '
1
,: IF
h
Full Spectrum Environmental Services• Hydrogel logy
