01 November 2002 <br /> • AGE-NC Project No 95-0103 <br /> ' Page 4 of 6 <br /> ' 3 1 GROUND WATER TREATMENT RESULTS <br /> Between 30 May and 22 August 2002, the pump-and-treat system was in operation for 83 days <br /> ' Utilizing a Blue-White Industries F-2000 flow meter,the total flow(totalizer)was recorded between <br /> those dates(Table 3) Approximately 641,602 gallons of extracted water was treated, for a total of <br /> 867,749 gallons of water treated since ground water extraction began on 02 April 2002, AGE <br /> ' estimated that approximately 7,730 gallons of water was discharged per day during this period <br /> ' 3 1 1 Laboratory Analysis of Influent and Effluent Ground Water Samples <br /> TPH-g was detected in the 15 July and 22 August 2002 influent samples at 4,700 µg/1 and <br /> ' 2,600 }ig/l <br /> BTEX compounds were detected in the 15 July and 22 August 2002 influent samples at maximum <br /> ' concentrations of 290 µg/1 benzene, 23 µg/1 toluene, 240 µg/1 ethylbenzene and 470 µg/1 xylenes, <br /> detected in the 15 July sample MTBE was not detected in the influent ground water samples <br /> analyzed <br /> Laboratory analysis of ground water samples collected from the effluent stream on 15 July and <br /> 22 August 2002 did not detect any petroleum constituents of concern <br /> The analytical results are-summanzed in Table 1, laboratory reports are provided in Appendix A <br /> 3 12 Mass-Volume Removal Calculations <br /> ' During the third quarter 2002,an estimated 168 lbs of benzene and 37 lbs of TPH-g were extracted <br /> from ground water Third quarter 2002 mass-volume calculations from the ground water treatment <br /> ' system are presented in Appendix B <br /> 3 2 GROUND WATER MONITORING RESULTS <br /> Field and laboratory analytical results of the 09 September 2002 monitoring event include <br /> 3 2 1 Ground Water Elevations and Gradient <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
