The tanks are
thought to be 17 to 40 years old. The site is c&&Ed by iipjhilfaW—concrete paving -
and the site building. The 8,000-gallon underground tanks are present in the
northeastern quadrant of the site;they contained super unleaded and regular leaded j
gasoline for retail sale. The 4,000-gallon tanks along the northwestern edge of the
site are connected by piping and stored regular unleaded gasoline. One 500-gallon
waste oil tank is present between the site building and the eastern property line.
We previously conducted a subsurface environmental.investigation to
evaluate soil and groundwater conditions at site. The investigation included drilling
one soil boring to a depth of approximately 35 feet and installing one monitoring
well. The soil encountered in the soil boring consisted of sandy silt in the upper 12 ft
and slightly silty sand from 12 ft to at least 35 ft.
