R I HEAI_TiI <br /> 723SStreet PERIF II <br /> Sacramento �} �+ y ! 1' <br /> Caldomia 916)444 0123 7092 93 SEP -�o P 1 1' 4 3 <br /> SEP <br /> FAX(916)444$437 <br /> September 3, 1993 41e.5l <br /> L D <br /> Mr Michael Collins !� y <br /> San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department <br /> 445 North San Joaquin Street t <br /> Stockton California 95201 S ' 017-7603-0111 <br /> Subject Status Report For Kent's Oil Remediation Project <br /> 3310 East Miner Street, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Mr Collins �c�or <br /> /ex/� <br /> Pursuant to our telephone conversation on August 9, 1993, Brown and Caldwell (BC) is <br /> transmitting this status report of the excavation and stockpiling of total petroleum hydrocarbon <br /> (TPH) affected soil at the subject site for your review The following summarizes the data <br /> collected at the subject site and presents BC conclusions and recommendation for the <br /> continuation of this project <br /> Summary of Site Activities <br /> Excavation and stockpiling of TPH-affected soil began on July 19, 1993, and was terminated <br /> on August 6, 1993 The excavation and stockpiling of the soil is being conducted by Kause <br /> Construction under the supero of$E Kause Construction has excavated and <br /> stockpiled on-site approx1 tely 12,000 cubicyards rom the excavation The excavation <br /> currently encompasses an area approxi eet long (east-west trending) by 60 reet wide <br /> (north-south trending) A vehicle ramp has been cut into the excavation along the western <br /> edge of the pit, and extends from 12 feet below ground surface (bgs) at the western end of <br /> the pit to approximately 25 feet bgs one-half of the distance across the excavation The <br /> eastern one-half of the excavation extends to approximately 44 feet bgs, except in the <br /> northeastern corner where the excavation only extended to 28 feet bgs The remaining area <br /> of the excavation is approximately 28 feet deep <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with the standaids of the environmental consulting industry at the tame it was <br /> prepared It should not be relied upon by parties other than those for whom it was prepared, and then only to the <br /> extent of the scope of work which was authorized This report does not guarantee that no additional environmental <br /> contamination beyond that described in this report exists at the site <br /> 7603\CORRESA7603 02 L 1 <br />
