L <br /> April 25, 1996 <br /> Mr.Bob Fratto <br /> Operations Manager <br /> Sheldon Oil Company <br /> 2850 Cordelia Road,Suite 120 <br /> Fairfield,California 94585 017-1422-0114 <br /> Subject First Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Kent's Oil Facility, Stockton, California ` <br /> Dear Mr Fratto <br /> This report presents results of water-level measurements and groundwater sampling performed <br /> during the first quarter of 1996 at Kent's Oil Facility located at 3310 E Miner Street, Stockton, <br /> California The work was performed on March 1, 1996,by Brown and Caldwell <br /> There are three on-site wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 Well locations are shown on <br /> Figure 1 Water-level measurements and groundwater samples were collected from all three <br /> wells during the first quarter sampling event <br /> Field and Analytical Methods <br /> Prior to commencing purging, static water levels and total depth were measured and a check for <br /> floating product was made in each well Prior to sampling, the wells were purged of a minimum <br /> of three well casing volumes using a submersible pump After purging, each well was sampled <br /> using a disposable bailer <br /> All groundwater samples were analyzed for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene isomers <br /> (BTEX) by U S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 602, total petroleuro <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G) by EPA Method 8015 Modified/Purge and Trap, diesel <br /> (TPH-D),and motor oil (TPH-MO),by EPA Method 5030/8015 Modified <br /> Results <br /> The groundwater flow direction on March 1, 1996 was to the south under a hydraulic gradient of <br /> 0 041 and is shown on Figure 1.
