Miner Street, Stockton, California (Site). These wells were installed <br /> as part of the site closure activities currently being conducted by Sheldon Oil Company <br /> s (Sheldon) at the Site. The purpose of this investigation was to establish a groundwater <br /> monitoring -network for evaluating the groundwater quality, flow direction, and hydraulic } <br /> : gradient beneath the Site in the vicinity of the former underground storage tank (UST). <br /> The work plan prepared to conduct this phase of work was verbally approved by Mr. <br /> Michael Collins of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(County) during <br /> a April 28, 1994, telephone conversation between the County and Brown and Caldwell. <br /> The following work was performed under the terms and conditions of the August 31, 1992, <br /> Task Order Agreement between Brown and Caldwell and Sheldon Oil Company. <br /> Soil Boring <br /> Turner Explorations, Inc., a State of California licensed water well driller, drilled three soil <br /> borings (MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3) between May 4 and May 6, 1994, using a BK-81 <br /> mobile drilling rig equipped with 8-inch-diameter hollow-stem augers. The three soil <br /> borings were each drilled to a total depth of approximately 100 feet below ground surface <br /> � g <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with`the standards of the environmental consulting industry at the time <br /> it was prepared.
