Closure Report 35 <br /> Golden Grain Manteca Bean Faclh ,299 Moffat Boulevard,Manteca,California July 16,19% <br /> ' 7.2 2 Hydrogeology <br /> ' The hydrogeology of the site has been addressed through numerous subsurface investigations that <br /> Included soil boring, monitoring well installation, groundwater level monitoring, and aquifer testing <br /> This information has been reported to the various agencies through activity specific reports and <br /> quarterly project reports <br /> 7.2.3 Local Groundwater Uses <br /> The local groundwater uses and potential receptors as well as'the designated uses from the Basin <br /> ' Plan have been addressed by the following methods <br /> a Completing a nearby (potential receptor)well survey for the site <br /> ' ■ Completing a risk analysis, using current site conditions and potential future site uses <br /> The nsk analysis Indicated that concentrations currently remaining at the site pose no <br /> ' health risk to a potential receptor, primarily because no on-site groundwater is currently <br /> used <br /> 7 2.4 Concentrations Remaining <br /> ' The remaining concentrations have been defined by completing a post remediation study to <br /> determine the current site conditions This study included collection of data to determine residual <br /> hydrocarbon concentrations In soil and groundwater following remediation This study Indicates that <br /> ' the extent of hydrocarbons in soil is very limited, as illustrated in cross-sections included herein, and <br /> that hydrocarbons remaining in groundwater are contained at low concentrations within the property <br /> ' boundaries <br /> ' 7.2.5 Cost of Remediation <br /> The issue of cost has been highlighted by the more than $850,000 00 that Golden Grain has spent <br /> ' completing the assessment and clean up of the subject site In comparison,the LLNL report <br /> i <br /> indicates the current leaking underground fuel tank (LUFT) cleanup process does not result in a cost <br /> effective site closure and that the average cost of each LUFT case in California is$150,000 00 <br /> FLUOR DANIEL GTI <br />
