On behalf of Golden Grain Company, Groundwater Technology, Inc has prepared this First Quarter <br /> 1994 Status Report on groundwater and sod conditions at the Manteca Bean Facility in Manteca, <br /> California (Attachment 1, Figure 1), for the quarter ending March 1994 The purpose of the work <br /> completed during this quarter was to perform treatment system operation and maintenance, <br /> calculate the groundwater gradient, and evaluate the distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons in <br /> groundwater Groundwater monitoring data and results of laboratory analyses of groundwater <br /> samples collected on February 18, 1994, are included All work was performed as described in a <br /> monitoring and sampling plan submitted to, and approved by, San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services on February 27, 1992 <br /> I <br /> In addition to quarterly monitoring and sampling activities, the sod and groundwater remediation <br /> system was operated and maintained during this quarter Details regarding the operation of the <br /> system through March 3, 1994, including the efficiency of the system and the continued remediation <br /> plans for the site, are discussed below <br /> MONITORING WELL GAUGING <br /> Before well purging and water sample collection on February 18, 1994, Groundwater Technology <br /> personnel gauged all of the site wells to measure the depth to water and the depth to separate- <br /> phase hydrocarbons (SP), if present The well gauging was conducted in accordance with the <br /> 55108014 020 <br /> I <br /> Offices throughout the US Canada and Overseas <br />
