h r i it r RECEIVED J U L 2 4 1992 ENVIRONMENTAL KALTM GROUNDWATER PERMIT/SERVICES ❑❑❑ TECHNOLOGY, INC. 1401 Halyard Drive,Suite 140 West Sacramento CA 95691 (916)372-4700 FAX(916)372-8781 June 22, 1992 Project Number 02320 1466 Mr John W Colley Project Engineer Golden Grain Company 1111 - 139th Avenue San Leandro, CA 94578 RE SECOND QUARTER 1992 MONITORING RESULTS MANTECA BEAN FACILITY 229 MOFFAT BOULEVARD MANTECA, CALIFORNIA Dear Mr Colley This letter is presented by Groundwater Technology, Inc as a quarterly report on groundwater • conditions at the Manteca Bean Facility in Manteca, California, for the quarter ending June 1992 A map of the site is attached as Figure 1 Groundwater monitoring and sampling was conducted in accordance with our February 13, 1992, proposal to Golden Grain Company, a division of the Quaker Oats Company The purpose of the field work was to determine water table flow and the distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons in selected groundwater monitoring wells (MWs) Groundwater monitoring data and results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples collected on May 21, 1992, are included All work was performed as described in a monitoring and sampling plan submitted to, and approved by San Joaquin County Public Health Services on February 27, 1992 Monitoring Well Gauging Prior to well purging and water sample collection on May 21, 1992, Groundwater Technology personnel gauged the 15 site-related monitoring wells to determine the depth to water and the depth to separate-phase petroleum (SP), if present The well gauging was conducted in accordance with the Leakina Underground Fuel Tank Field Manual (LUFT) published by the State of California Leaking Underground Fuel Tank Task Force dated October 1989 Groundwater monitoring data are summarized in Table 1 The water table elevations for May 21, 1992, were used to prepare a potentiometric surface map (Figure 2) Offices throughout the US Canada and Overseas
