Third Quarter 1996 Status Report <br /> Golden Grain Compaa Manteca Bean FacilitY,229 Moffat Boulevard Manteca California4 <br /> September 17 1996 <br /> CUMULATIVE REMOVAL OF TPH-G <br /> ' No hydrocarbons were removed by the VES this quarter because It was not operated The <br /> cumulative amount of hydrocarbons removed by the VES since start-up Is estimated at 3,444 <br /> ' pounds TPH-g concentrations in the groundwater treatment system Influent were also below the <br /> detection limit this quarter, therefore, no calculations were performed for mass of TPH-g removed by <br /> the groundwater treatment system The cumulative amount of hydrocarbons removed from the <br /> ' groundwater treatment system since start-up Is estimated to be approximately 7 pounds <br /> CONTINUED OPERATION <br /> ' On August 28, 1996 the groundwater pumping and treatment system at the site was shutdown This <br /> was done in accordance with directives from San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Division <br /> ' (SJC-EHD) contained In a letter dated August 26, 1996 (attachment 5) This letter was In response <br /> to an August 22, 1996 presentation to the Technical Review Committee (TRC) to request closure for <br /> the site In addition to shutdown of the groundwater pump and treatment system authorization was <br /> given to abandon all site wells A formal work plan will be submitted to SJC-EHD detailing the <br /> methods of well abandonment, along with any permit applications and fees necessary to begin the <br /> ' work <br /> ' If you have any questions or comments regarding this report, please call our Martinez office at <br /> (510) 370-3990 <br /> ' Sincerely, <br /> Fluor Daniel GTI, Inc.
