d� 3 tF <br /> OEF WGROUNDWATER <br /> ❑❑❑ TECHNOLOGY Groundwater Technology,Inc <br /> 757 Arnold Drive,Suite D,Martinez,CA 94553 USA <br /> March 21, 1996 Tel (510)370-3990 Fax (510)370 3991 <br /> Ms Linda Turkett <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> 445 N San Joaquin Street <br /> Stockton, CA 95201 <br /> Subject First Quarter 1996 Status Report <br /> Golden Grain Company, Manteca Bean Facility <br /> 229 Moffat Boulevard, Manteca, California <br /> GTI Project 042020213 <br /> Dear Ms Turkett <br /> On behalf of Golden Grain Company, Groundwater Technology, Inc , has prepared this First <br /> Quarter 1996 Status Report for the Manteca Bean Facility in Manteca, California (attachment 1, figure 1), <br /> for the quarter ending March 8, 1996 The fieldwork included treatment system operation and <br /> maintenance along with quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling During the quarter,the <br /> warehouse building adjacent to the treatment system was demolished and power to the remediation <br /> system was removed and replaced The system was not operated from the last week in November 1995 <br /> until February 16, 1996, because of the budding demolition <br /> Groundwater monitoring and sampling was performed for the purpose of evaluating the groundwater <br /> gradient and distribution of dissolved hydrocarbons in groundwater Groundwater monitoring data <br /> and results of laboratory analyses of groundwater samples collected on February 20, 1996, are <br /> included All work was performed as described in a monitoring and sampling plan approved by <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services on February 27, 1992 <br /> In addition to quarterly monitoring and sampling activities,the groundwater remediation system was <br /> operated and maintained during this quarter when the system was reactivated on February 16, 1996 <br /> Details regarding the operation of the system through March 8, 1996, including the system efficiency <br /> and future remediation plans for the site are discussed below <br /> 42020213 081 <br /> Offices throughout the US,Canada and Overseas <br />
