Golden Gram Company Manteca Bean Facility, 229 Moffat Blvd Manteca, CA September 26, 1994 <br /> Indicate the expected vacuum effect on the surrounding area The Vapor Extraction Pilot Study <br /> performed In 1990 determined a radius of Influence ranging from 55 feet to 90 feet depending on the <br /> air flow rate being drawn from the test extraction well The readings collected on August 18, 1994, <br /> showed Influence 70 feet away from well MW-2 at a flow rate of approximately 100 actual cubic feet <br /> per minute (acfm) This corresponds with the expected radius of Influence determined from the pilot <br /> study <br /> Before collecting solvent gas vapor concentration data, the vacuum applied to the vapor extraction <br /> wells was turned off for a period of 5 days This allowed the soil to reach static conditions before <br /> the collection of the vapor samples from the vapor extraction wells and MW-1, MW-4, MW-5, and <br /> MW-6 On August 24, 1994, vapor samples were collected from these wells and subsequently <br /> analyzed for TPH-g and BTEX (table 8) <br /> CONTINUED OPERATION <br /> Site work for the next quarter will Include dally system check via modem, weekly site visits for <br /> equipment operation and maintenance, weekly monitoring of system operating conditions and vapor <br /> • influent and effluent concentrations, quarterly monitoring and sampling of site wells, and quarterly <br /> sampling of treatment system Influent and effluent groundwater streams Also, quarterly vapor <br /> extraction monitoring and Induced vacuum readings will be measured The treatment system Is <br /> expected to operate under normal conditions during the next quarter <br /> 0102R014 202 <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> TECHNOLOGY,INC <br />
