(GTI) at
the Manteca Bean Facility, located at 229 Moffat Boulevard in
Manteca, California (Figure 1) . This report is intended to
fulfill requirements for a Problem Assessment Report (PAR) as
r mandated by the California Regional Water Quality Control Board,
Central Valley Region (the Board) , and the San Joaquin County
Public Health Services, Environmental health Division (the
County) .
A leaking underground storage tank (removed in November
1986) introduced gasoline hydrocarbons into the subsurface. The
purpose of the assessment was to investigate the concentration
levels of hydrocarbons present, and to define the lateral and
vertical extent of hydrocarbons in soil and groundwater. Data
from a soil-vapor survey, a separate--phase petroleum hydrocarbon
(SPP)-removal program, laboratory analyses of soil and ground-
water samples, groundwater elevation measurements, aquifer tests,
^
GROUNDWATER
TtwimoLorY,INC.
