GOLDEN GRAIN COMPANY December 21, 1989 - 202/799-5045.06 hydrocarbons were detected at that time in soil or groundwater samples from MW-8. - SCS's investigation was summarized in the previously sub- mitted "Revised Preliminary Report, Subsurface Hydrocarbon Investigation" (RPR) , dated January 11, 1989, prepared by GTI for this site on behalf of Golden Grain Company. Results Of labora- tory analyses from SCSTs investigation are summarized in Appen- dix I. GTI was retained in May 1988 to further assess the site and develop remediation strategies. 2.2.3 previous work Performed by GTI on June 21, 1988, GTI surveyed the wellhead elevations, levels in all monitoring wells, and sampled measured groundwater wells that did not contain BPP. Petroleum was found fr m 11, MW- 2, MV7--4, and MW-5, with apparent, thicknesses ranging re found in groundwater samples feet. Dissolved hydrocarbons we • f_.-nm MW-3, MW-6, and MW-7. No dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in samples from MW-8. Derails of these results may be found in the RPR and in Appendix I.
