1 ,
1 2 4 Sensitive Receptor Survey
On June 5, 2001, Ramage Environmental published Sensitive Receptor Survey, for the site
vicinity within 2,000 feet of the site
According to the City of Manteca Department of Public Works, the city provides water seance
throughout the site vicinity The city operates 15 water supply wells throughout the city, including
two within the site vicinity The city well #19 is located near the corner of Powers Avenue and
Mann Street, approximately 1,700 feet west of the site, and the city well #5 and water tower are
located approximately 1,900 feet northwest of the site The total depth of both of these wells
exceeds 300 feet
The nearest school to the site is Manteca High School approximately 500 feet to the north The
school campus occupies most of the northeast quadrant of the site vicinity According to Mr
Chuck Christian, the head custodian, the school supplies all of its own water from a single water
well located near the northeast corner of the Agriculture Building, approximately 1,000 feet
northeast of the site This well was located during the survey and was found to be operational
Well construction details were not available
Other sensitive receptors identified in the site vicinity include the Lincoln Elementary School at
750 East Yosemite Avenue and the Lincoln Park and community swimming pool Lincoln School
ris approximately 2,000-feet northeast of the site and Lincoln Park is approximately 1,000-feet
northeast of the site No hospitals, significant surface water bodies or other sensitive receptors
were observed in the site vicinity
1 2 5 Additional Soil and Groundwater Investigation
1
On January 24, 2003, Ramage Environmental published Additional Site Investigation and
' Groundwater Monitoring Report, Fourth Quarter 2002, which documented soil and groundwater
sampling and analysis from seven additional Geoprobe soil borings The borings included one
into the second groundwater-bearing zone near the former USTs (G-6), and six (G-7 through G-
12) into the first groundwater zone on- and off-site (Figure 2)
' Results of the investigation indicated that the vertical and lateral extent of impacted groundwater
remained undefined The groundwater analytical results are included in Table 2
6
r
