INTRODUCTION PEltMiT/SERVICES
At the request of Mr. Tom Barbour of Bob's Muffler Shop, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc.
' (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 466 Moffat Boulevard,Manteca,
California. The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this "
report. The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; =
structures, former UST locations and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2.
Background information is summarized in the Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan dated 30
November 1998 and Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report dated 10 August 1999,both
prepared by AGE.
2.0. PROCEDURES Q: C 1 3,2001
' Quarterly ground water monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through MW,=5 or!LTH "
10 September 2001. Field work'was performed in accordance with guidelines establi`slied;bythe'=S
California RegionaF Water Quality Control Board - Central Valley Region for investigation of
' • underground,storage tank (UST) sites.
' 2.1. WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 10 September 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
' in the five wells relative to the tops of the well casings. After the depth-to-ground water
measurements were collected, casing water in the monitoring wells was evacuated using polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) bailers. Approximately 6 gallons of water were evacuated from each of the
' monitoring wells, equivalent to three casing-water volumes per well.
Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at 1-gallon intervals,. using an Oakton water
analyzer to monitor pH, temperature and conductivity of the purged water; the field data logs are
provided in Appendix A. Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon drums.
2.2. COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' Water samples were collected from each purged well with disposable bailers. Each water sample was
transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0."5 ml 18% hydrochloric acid as
' a sample preservative., After collection; the samples were properly"labeled, placed in a chilled
container and transported under chain-of-custody to McCambell Analytical;Inc.(MAI).The samples
. were analyzed for:
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
