INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr. Tom Barbour of Bob's Muffler Shop, Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report for the property located at 466 <br /> Moffat Boulevard,Manteca,California.The scope ofwork included installation of five ground water <br /> monitoring wells, quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this report. The location of <br /> tthe site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1; structures, former UST <br /> locations, and soil boring and monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2. Background <br /> ' information is summarized in the Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan dated 30 November 1998 <br /> and Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report dated 10 August 1999,both prepared by AGE. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND - <br /> The site is located south of Yosemite Avenue in southern San Joaquin County, in the city of - <br /> Manteca. The site is located in an area of low topographic relief. <br /> ' On 05 February 1999, at the request of Mr. Tom Barbour, AGE performed a preliminary site <br /> assessment to investigate a,suspected unauthorized release of petroleum hydrocarbons to soil and <br /> ground water at 466 Moffat Road, Manteca (site). The laboratory results of analyses of samples <br /> ' confirmed the presence of a petroleum hydrocarbon-impact to soil and groundwater in the former <br /> UST area. The PHS-EHD subsequently required an investigation to determine the extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impact to soil and ground water. <br /> 1 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> I <br /> Five ground water monitoring wells were installed in December 1999. Quarterly ground water <br /> monitoring was'performed on 15 December 1999.Field work was performed in accordance with the <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division and Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of <br /> ' .underground storage tank (UST) sites. <br /> ' .3.1. ADVANCEMENT OF SOIL BORINGS <br /> On 09 and 10 December 1999, five soil borings were advanced at the site. Pilot borings MW-1 <br /> ' through MW-5 were advanced using a CME-75 (H.T.) drill rig.'All five borings were'advanced to <br /> a depth of 35 feet below surface grade(bsg)using 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers.The drill rig <br /> • and two-man crew were supplied by Mitchell Drilling Environmental Corp. of Sacramento, , <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
