Additional soil samples may need to be collected
to ensure the mass calculated in the soil is truly representative, and possibly for leaching
tests. The potential for vapor intrusion into onsite buildings must be considered as well.
If the screening criteria addressed by San Francisco Regional Water Quality Control
Board, Region 2, is exceeded by contaminants left in place, a technical justification
showing these contaminants present no threat to human health or the environment must
be presented for closure consideration.
' If you have any questions or comments please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
' Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Lori Duncan, Senior REHS Nuel C.
