1
Eckert Cold Storage Company
' 757 Moffat Blvd, Manteca, California November 26, 1997
Underground Tank Investigation, Continued Phase I Report of Findings Page: 7
' 8.0 Conclusions&Recommendations
' Soil contamination exists in the area under and around the former underground fuel storage
tanks. Groundwater contamination exists as a plume approximately 93 by 180 feet (Figure
10). Contaminants were BTEX Gasoline and Diesel was detected in water samples. The
groundwater and soil plume has been defined to the north south, east and west. Very low
level of contaminates were detected in MW-6 and MW-7 all the other perimeter wells are free
' of contamination.
WBF recommends the following course of action be taken to further valuate the site conditions
and possible impacts:
1. Continue to monitor groundwater quarterly.
' 2. Conduct a receptor survey of the area within a 2,000 foot radius of the
subject site.
' 3. Conduct a feasibilty study for soil and groundwater mitigation.
1
9.0 Limitations
' The above represents our best professional opinion as to environmental conditions at this
site. These opinions were derived using data at hand, and using standards of care common
' to the environmental consulting community in Northern California. Additional work or
sampling at this site may generate data that could lead to a change of opinion regarding
site conditions or appropriate site remediation procedures, or bo
Vigo
Prepared by: hwtiLP" H.
4
' No.00620
W.
