r F,
ARE
'Ine-Wtm
Y
FIELD WORK PERFORMED
INTRODUCTION
In the SITE ASSESSMENT REPORT by WJH, Attachment # 1 , it was
stated that sufficient data existed to make the determin-
itlon that the ground water had not been impacted at this
location. The San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division (EHD) did not agree with that
assessment and requested that monitoring wells be installed
and that a groundwater testing program be carried out.
Attachment # 2, a work plan for further assessment of
potential groundwater contamination was prepared for the
EHD. The following work documented herein essentially
follows this work plan. Certain small changes were
incorporated when field conditions indicated the need, and
as either suggested by or agreed to by the EHD represen-
tative, Margaret Lagorio, who was on site during much of the
operations.
The actual well locations were changed slightly owing to
power lines etc. They were all located on Raymond Investment
Company property; MW #1 adjacent to the excavation, MW # 2
71 and 3 were located in the best feasible locations that could
i be selected while remaining on clients property. As mention-
ed in the work plan, it was realized that these wells might.
not be in a down-gradient location from the tank removal
y:
site (See Figure 1)
' FIELD WORK-GENERAL DATA
,
Y A cooler chest with a double blue ice supply, laboratory
certified sterile, 211 x 3" brass tubes, plastic caps, Teflon
end cover cloth and chain-of-custody forms were picked up by
4 * ' Dennis R. Allen, (DRA) at FGL Laboraturies, . Stockton, CA and
brought to the site on June 1.8 and 19, 1991. DRA arrived an
=} site at .8:30 AM on June 181th. On site were Spectrum
Drilling Co. driller, Ted Coffey and Richard Thorpe,
' Excavation Contractor. The fenced area around the original
excavation and spoil pile was locked and no one was on site
that had a key. The .lock was cut and removed and the
p7 Spectrum Drilling Auger was on site at MW # 1, adjacent to
the original excavation, at 10:00 AM.
-- --
---------Three- monitor—wel-Is-were- bored-by-Spectrum._Dr-i11ing-Co.-,.-_on--------- -
< 'ia June 18 and 19; 1991, at the, approximate locations shown on - v
Figure 1.
