. .a T
AXI
MEN EMMI
r.
CONCLUSIONS
Contamination found when sampling below the pulled tank area
was small and it is not believed that sufficient product was
spilled to either reach or impact the groundwater.
Owing to the nature of the surface activity, casual spills
might have occurred at various surface locations, none of
which would be related to either the tank removal or
„e possible groundwater contamination related thereto.
It is the understanding of the writer that verbal permission
was given to Thorpe oil, Inc. to return about 3/4 of the
spoil stored on the surface to the excavation. The remainder
J'': of the spoil should either be treated, tested and returned
to the excavation if clean, or the excavation should be re-
filled with clean soil from another location.
The treatment of the soil, disposal of contaminated soil and ,
refilling of the excavation isnot a portion of this report.
= . It is the writer's understanding that these actions will be
-„ under the Jurisdiction of Thorpe Oil, Inc:
RECOMMENDATIONS
It is recommended that the site be declared clean .in-so-far
as groundwater contamination is concerned and that no
further activity should be required to demonstrate this
fact.
Dennis R.
