OW-3(located 82 feet toward the south)at 0 82 feet after 416 minutes of pumping operation
The maximum ground water draw-down in the three observation wells versus the distance of each
well from the extraction point was graphed on semi-loganthmic paper (Appendix B), graphs of
draw-down versus time from extraction well MW-2 and the tliree observation wells is included in
Appendix C Ground water levels in the observation wells all appeared to be influenced and had
measurable draw-down during each step of the pumping test (Table 2)
I
r , 3 12 Extracted Ground Water Disposal
Approximately 1,600 gallons of extracted water were generated during the vanable rate draw-down
I pumping test On 25 January 2002, be'ground water extracted during the pumping test was pumped
hYIF from the aboveground storage poly tank into a vacuum truck 1 (supplied by,lAmerican Valley Waste 1
r
Oil), the extracted water was transported off-site under hazardous waste manifest to Seaport
Petroleum, a waste treatment was, located. in Redwood City, California Documentation and
„ I
uniform hazardous, waste'manifest for disposal of the pump test purge water is contained in,
Appendix D j u
I
,r
3 2' CONSTANT RATE PUMPING TEST
Based on the results of the 8-hour variable rate pumping test, a pumping rale of 4 gpm was utilized
I for the constant rate pumping test' 'Pnor to initiation of,the test, the depth-to-ground water was
measured,nn the extraction-well (MW-2) and in observation wells OW-1, MW'4, OW-2,MW-3,
MW-1, OW-3 and OW-4 using a Solznst water level meter During(the pumping'test depth to water
z ' + Advanced GeoEnvlronmeotal,Inc
l J1 t
i
