November 16,2005
• NOA Project Number.E05120B
were limited by the driveway areas in which it was not possible to collect surface samples because of
the presence of gravel used to maintain the driveway.
The samples were collected directly into brass sampling tubes, which were sealed with Teflon and
capped. The samples were immediately labeled, placed on ice, and transported under chain of
custody to DHS-certified Argon Laboratories in Ceres, California.
3.2 Sample Analysis Methods
All surface samples collected were analyzed for Total Extractable Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TEPH)
by EPA Method 8015M and Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons-Gasoline (TPH-g) and Benzene,
Toluene,Ethyl Benzene, and Xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8015M/8021B. Select samples were
analyzed for CAM 17 Metals by EPA Method 6010B/7471A and Total Lead by EPA Method 7420.
3.3 Analytical Results
The results of the analysis of the surface soil samples for petroleum hydrocarbon constituents
(Appendix B) are presented in the following table:
Table 1.
