A S S O C I A T E S I N C <br /> Summary Report of <br /> Additional Subsurface Investigation <br /> Pacific Coast Recreation <br /> 3755 Munford Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> ATC Project No 54 163 93 0001 <br />' 10 INTRODUCTION <br /> ATC Associates Inc has prepared this report on behalf of Cohn Enterprises to summarize <br /> findings of the additional subsurface investigation performed at the Pacific Coast Recreation <br /> facility located at 3755 Munford Avenue in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The purpose of the <br /> subsurface investigation was to evaluate the vertical and horizontal extent of impacted soil and <br /> groundwater in the vicinity of the former 10,000-gallon and 1,000-gallon underground storage <br /> tanks (USTs) This work was done at the request of San Joaquin County Public Health Services, <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHSIEHD) in correspondence dated February 10, 1999 The <br /> findings of the subsurface investigative study are summarized in the following report <br /> 1.1 Sitc Location <br /> The site is located on the north side of East Munford Avenue and east of the State Highway 99 in <br />' Stockton, California, as shown on Figure 1 The location is a mixed industrial and residential <br /> area and the site is currently occupied by Pacific Coast Recreation <br />' 1.2 Back round <br /> In May 1991, one 10,000-gallon diesel UST, one 1,000-gallon unleaded gasoline UST, and all <br /> associated piping were removed by SEMCO from the locations shown on Figure 2 Soil samples <br /> were collected from beneath the USTs and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons Analytical <br />' testing indicated the samples collected from beneath the USTs contained detectable <br /> concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents The excavations were subsequently <br /> backfilled <br /> In November 1997, MJ Kloberdanz and Associates advanced one soil boring to approximately <br /> 71 5 feet below ground surface (bgs) Analytical results of soil samples collected at 25, 35, 45, <br />' 65, and 71 feet bgs indicated that soil was impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons Site activities <br /> were summarized in MJ Kloberdanz and Associates' Phase I Investigation Report, dated <br /> November 24, 1997 MJ Kloberdanz and Associates concluded that additional investigation <br /> activities would be required <br /> w 1163931reportslsumn doe 1 <br />
