Main St. and Mission Ridge Dr.
Manteca, California
SES Project #1-217-00
Dear Mr. Rogers:
As is required, .Sierra Environmental Services (SES) presents the following work plan for
subsurface work at the above-referenced proposed Chevron service station (Figure 1, Appendix
A).
SUMMARY
This investigation is the result of a potential property transfer. SES proposes to drill one
soil boring at the site. The location of the proposed soil boring is shown on Figure 2 (Appendix
A).
SCOPE OF WORK
As requested by Chevron, SES will drill one soil boring at the site. Pending the results of
analytic testing, Chevron intends to purchase the property. The following outlines the proposed
scope of work and procedures for this investigation.
1. Prepare a site safety plan specific to this investigation.
2. SES will drill one soil boring at the site. The soil samples from the boring will be surveyed
in the field with an organic vapor meter (OVM) to determine whether volatile organic
compounds are present in the samples. The soil sample from 5 ft below grade and the soil
sample from just above the water table will be analyzed. Both soil samples will be
analyzed for total purgeable petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline[TPPH(G)],total petroleum
hydrocarbons as diesel [TPH(D)], benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX); oil
P.O.
