Main St. and Mission Ridge Dr. <br /> Manteca, California <br /> SES Project #1-217-00 <br /> Dear Mr. Rogers: <br /> As is required, .Sierra Environmental Services (SES) presents the following work plan for <br /> subsurface work at the above-referenced proposed Chevron service station (Figure 1, Appendix <br /> A). <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This investigation is the result of a potential property transfer. SES proposes to drill one <br /> soil boring at the site. The location of the proposed soil boring is shown on Figure 2 (Appendix <br /> A). <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> As requested by Chevron, SES will drill one soil boring at the site. Pending the results of <br /> analytic testing, Chevron intends to purchase the property. The following outlines the proposed <br /> scope of work and procedures for this investigation. <br /> 1. Prepare a site safety plan specific to this investigation. <br /> 2. SES will drill one soil boring at the site. The soil samples from the boring will be surveyed <br /> in the field with an organic vapor meter (OVM) to determine whether volatile organic <br /> compounds are present in the samples. The soil sample from 5 ft below grade and the soil <br /> sample from just above the water table will be analyzed. Both soil samples will be <br /> analyzed for total purgeable petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline[TPPH(G)],total petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons as diesel [TPH(D)], benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX); oil <br /> P.O.
