Weston, Inc. for the above referenced site work. The
application for permit for field activities was expedited to accommodate a banking transaction.
Consequently, comments pertinent to the investigation were not made prior to the commencement of
the drilling and sampling event.
Please be advised future site mobilizations will require advance submittal of permit applications and
workplans so that the appropriate staff review and/or comments may be completed prior to the
initialization of field activities. Additionally, a 48-hour advance notification is preferred for the
witnessing of boring abandonments or monitoring well constructions.
Should regulatory involvement be desired in the future, all laboratory analytical methods should be
EPA SW846 approved and performed by a California state certified laboratory. The workplan indicated
that the laboratory analyses would be performed through Gulf Coast Environmental Metrics Laboratory,
Inc., in University Park, Illinois. These results will not be acceptable if the laboratory lacks California
certification.
All waste drums shall be appropriately labeled to include, but not limited to, the following:
Borehole Identification
Type of Contents (i.e., liquid/soil)
Date of Storage
Suspected Designation (Non-hazardous; designated waste)
If you have any questions, please contact me at (209) 468-3452.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environ ental Hlealth Division
kan%eM.
