Composite sample will p <br /> and soil will be aerated in amounts commensurate with the concentra- <br /> tions as given in Item 1 of the guidelines (See Appendix B) . <br /> Prior to the aeration of the soil, notification in writing will be <br /> sent to the SJCAPCD. The letter shall include the following: <br /> 1) Location <br /> 2) Quantity of soil to be aerated (total) <br /> 3) Quantity of soil to be aerated in any day. <br /> 4) Average degee of contamination, or total organic content <br /> of the soil. <br /> i ' 5) Chemical composition of contaminating organic compound. <br /> k� <br /> The average degree of contamination will be determined through the <br /> averaging of readings from 20 composite samples taken from the pile. <br /> These samples will be taken at various points on the outside of the <br /> pile as well as the inside and analyzed with a Photo Ionization De- <br /> tector. <br /> L <br /> 4. <br /> L <br /> L <br /> (13) <br />
