Section No 13 <br /> Revision No 0 <br /> Date September 5, 1991 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> 13 0 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES <br /> 13 1 Field <br /> Preventative maintenance for quality assurance includes those tasks that <br /> must be carried out to minimize down time of the measurement systems <br /> General procedures for preventative maintenance which apply to measurement <br /> systems include the following <br /> ■ Instruments for field use will be checked and calibrated prior to <br /> use in the field, <br /> ■ A spare part inventory recommended by the manufacturer or 3udged as <br /> appropriate based on equipment experience shall be maintained, <br /> ■ When practical backup equipment is available, <br /> • o All instruments shall be stored and transported in protective <br /> casings, <br /> a Permanent records of the calibration and maintenance of each <br /> instrument shall be maintained <br /> Instrument specific preventative maintenance shall be performed in <br /> accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and/or as described in the <br /> following sections <br /> 13 1 1 pH Meter <br /> Preventative maintenance procedures for pH meters are in accordance with <br /> manufacturer's instructions <br /> 13 1 2 Conductivity Meter <br /> Preventative maintenance procedures for conductivity meters are in <br /> • accordance with manufacturer's instructions <br /> 13-1 <br />
