Section No 6 <br /> Revision No 0 40 <br /> Date September 5, 1991 <br /> Page 20 0£ 55 <br /> r <br /> The On-site Health and Safety Coordinator will be primarily responsible <br /> for the health and safety aspects of sampling, including monitoring air <br /> quality in the sampling area, and establishing and coordinating emergency <br /> procedures for situations such as personal injury or spillage of contaminated <br /> materials <br /> Sampling team personnel will have on hand personal protection equipment <br /> including respirator, protective clothing, gloves, and eye protection Eye <br /> protection and gloves will be worn by all sampling team personnel during <br /> purging and sampling activities Need for additional protective clothing <br /> and/or equipment will be determined by the On-site Health and Safety <br /> Coordinator <br /> 6 4 4 4 Waste Management - Water discharged during well purging and- -- - - <br /> sampling will be discharged into a 55-gallon metal DOT-approved drum or other - <br /> suitable storage container After completion of purging and sampling, drums <br /> will be transported to an on-site holding area and stored for eventual <br /> disposal by the Client Closed containers for liquid waste shall be filled <br /> to no greater than 95 ,percent capacity to allow for temperature-related <br /> expans3.on of -liquid materials <br /> An open 55-gallon metal DOT-approved drum, or other suitable container, <br /> will be used during filling of sample containers to contain waste water <br /> discharged Immediately after sampling, this water will be transferred to <br /> metal storage drums <br /> 6-20 <br />
