1 <br /> ' April 11, 1995 <br /> 92-1177103 SO <br /> NORCAL Waste Systems, Inc. <br /> Attention Mr Larry Sweetser, Director of Regulatory Affairs " <br /> Subject REPORT - Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring - February 1995 <br /> Stockton Scavenger Association Facility P F i-' i ( 1995 <br /> 1240 Navy Drive <br /> Stockton, California ENVI(","',VENIAL HEALTH <br /> Page 2 PERMIT/SERVICES <br />' Water Level Measurements <br /> On February 1, 1995, MARK staff recorded water levels from monitoring wells MW-1, <br /> MW-3 and MW4 The water level was not measured in pumping well MW-2 due to the <br /> continuous drawdown created by pumping <br />' Static water levels in the monitoring wells were measured using an electronic sounder-tape <br /> within a one hour period prior to purging the wells The data was used to interpolate the <br />' potentiometric groundwater surface at the site Water level measurements for the current and <br /> previous monitoring rounds are presented in Table 1 A copy of the recent water level <br /> measurement form is attached to this letter <br /> Groundwater Sampling <br /> After water level measurements were recorded, the four monitoring wells were purged and <br /> sampled according to state and county guidelines A minimum of three well casing volumes of <br /> groundwater was purged from each well Three wells (MW-1, MW-3, and MW4) were purged <br /> using a air diaphragm pump Monitoring well MW-2 was purged using a dedicated bladder <br /> pump. Field water quality parameters (pH, temperature, and specific conductance) were <br />' measured for each casing volume of water removed from the well One additional casing volume <br /> of groundwater was purged after sampling Groundwater samples were collected using Teflon <br /> bailers at wells MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4 Samples from monitoring well MW-2 were collected <br />' from the dedicated bladder pump Purged groundwater was treated by the on-site groundwater <br /> treatment system Copies of the purging/sampling forms are attached <br />' <br /> Laboratozy Analysis <br />' The samples were submitted under Chain-of-Custody protocol to McCampbell Analytical, <br /> Inc (McCampbell), of Pacheco, California McCampbell is certified by the state of California <br /> to perform the required analyses <br />' The groundwater samples were analyzed for the following constituents <br />' ■ Total petroleum hydrocarbon as diesel (TPH-D) by Environmental Protection Agency <br /> .� (EPA) Method 8015M, <br />
