SOOPE OF WORK- SOIL EXCAVATION AND REMEDIATION <br />' Summary <br /> The scope of work involves the on-site remediation of previously stockpiled soils impacted by petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons Prior to beginning soil remediation additional soil will be removed from the tank pits During <br /> excavation of the tank pits, the soil will be sampled and analyzed using an immuno assay technique The <br /> excavated soil will be treated for removal and destruction of petroleum hydrocarbons by Heat Enhanced Vapor <br />' Extraction[Mermal Oxidation (HEVE/TO) Work activities will include excavation of the tank pits, a system <br /> setup for the HEVEfrO including soil relocation (on-site), remediation system operation, and final soil <br /> sampling <br /> Equipment Decontamination Requirements <br /> Excavating equipment will by steam cleaned after soil relocating and treatment pile construction work is <br /> lie completed Refer to MARK Group Master Health and Safety Plan, Section 9 0 for further decontamination <br /> procedures <br />' Permit Requirements <br /> A construction approval permit from the San Joaquin Valley Unified Air Pollution Control District <br /> (SJVUAPCD) as well as systems operation permit from the SJVUAPCD will be required <br />' Waste Disposal Requirements <br /> . The proposed treatment program should not generate any wastes requiring further action <br />
