This work was completed on October 29,
2007.
1.1 Site History
The subject Property was the site of a ready, mix plant. In 1995 a former 4,000-gallon .
diesel tank was removed under County permit. Confirmation soil samples collected from
beneath the tank pit and the dispenser contained diesel-range petroleum hydrocarbons.
r On February 20, 2004, the pit was over-excavated and approximately 300 cubic yards of
soil were removed and stockpiled on the site. On January 31, 2005, San Joaquin County
EHD issued a letter directing that additional work be completed to define the extent of the
diesel contamination. In February of 2006, the three monitoring wells were drilled and
constructed, and a series of subsequent groundwater monitoring events did not produce .
sample with detectable petroleum hydrocarbons.
In March of 2007, Geo-Phase Environmental, Inc completed a Site Conceptual Model,
which detailed what is known of the sampling completed at the site and assessed the risk
associated with the residual contamination. The Site Concept Model recommended that
the remedial investigation be officially closed.
