The destruction of
nine monitoring wells at the site has been tentatively scheduled.
The wells will be destroyed by pressure-grouting, in accordance with San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) requirements. Destruction of the wells will include
filling each well with grout;application of pressure(15-20 psi)to ensure grout penetration into the
filter pack; removal of each well cover box; and over-drilling to a depth of approximately 3 feet
below surface grade(bsg). The top three feet will be backfilled with neat cement. The grout mixture
will consist of Type 1/II portland neat cement and not more than 6 gallons of water per 94-pound
sack of cement. Once the wells have been destroyed, AGE will prepare a well destruction
confirmation letter for submittal to the SJCEHD.
Once the wells have been properly destroyed and the receptor survey completed,we do not anticpate
any additional work will be required for the site. The SJCEHD should provide a"no further action"
letter for the property after a final review of the submitted documentation.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact me at (209) 467-1006.
Sincerely,
e%WL GEO
Advanced GeoEnvironmental
 No. 7473 ,k
William R.
