INTRODUCTION <br />' At the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum Inc ,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, <br /> Inc (AGE) has prepared the enclosed report for the former Mel Bokides Petroleum fuel facility <br /> located at 2191 Navy Drive,Stockton,California(the site) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 <br /> Site structures, previous boring and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The scope of work included monitoring the ground water monitoring well network on the site This <br />' report documents collection and analysis of ground water samples and the interpretation of the <br /> results of the ground water monitoring event <br />' The site history and a description of previous work performed at the site were presented in <br /> Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER), dated 18 April 1999 and in the Quarterly <br />' Report- Third Quarter 2000, dated 09 October 2000, prepared by AGE <br /> The field work was performed and this report prepared in accordance Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for subsurface investigations of underground <br /> storage tank (UST) sites <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 23 January 2003,ground water gauging and sampling were performed at the site The monitoring <br /> wells involved in this investigation included MW1 and MW3 through MW8 Ground water <br /> monitoring well MW-2 was not located until after this sampling event Ground water monitoring <br /> procedures for the site were outlined in Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan,dated 15 June 1999 <br /> and conform to ground water monitoring guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> I <br /> 2 1 MONITORING WELL GAUGING AND PURGING <br /> A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in monitoring wells <br /> MW 1 and MW3 through MW8 After depth to groundwater measurements were taken,a minimum <br /> of 3 casing-water volumes were purged from each well to be sampled using a new, disposable, <br /> dedicated bailer Approximately ten to eleven gallons of water were removed from each well <br /> Temperature,pH and conductivity ofpurged groundwater were measured at 2-gallon intervals using <br /> an Oakton water analyzer Copies of the field data sheets are in Appendix A Purged water was <br /> itemporarily stored on-site in DOT-approved 55-gallon drums pending proper disposal <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
