PROCEDURES
On 18 December 2000, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at the site on wells
MW-1, MW-2 and MW-4 through MW-8 Ground water monitoring well MW--3 was not readily
accessible during the sampling event Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined
in Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 15 June 1999 and conform to ground water
monitoring guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental
Health Division (PHS-EHD)
f
E
2 1 MONITORING WELL SAMPLING PROCEDURES ,
rA Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water,in monitoring wells
MWI,MW-2 and MW-4 through MW8 After depth to ground},eater measurements were taken, a
minimum of 3 casing-water volumes were purged from each well to be sampled using a PVC
submersible two-stage pump
Eight to nine gallons of water were removed from each well Temperature, pH and conductivity of
purged ground water were measured at 2-gallon intervals using a Hydac water analyzer Copies of
the field data sheets are in Appendix A Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I -
i
