r18 April 2000 <br /> {• AGE-NC Project No 98-0534 <br />' Page 3 of 9 <br />' from Tanks 2 and 5 were analyzed for TPH-g, BTEX compounds and the fuel additives DIPE, <br /> ETBE, MTBE, TAME, TBA <br /> TPH-d, TPH-g, BTEX and fuel additives were detected In the soil samples collected from the UST <br /> r excavations TPH-g and BTEX were detected in four of the seventeen soil samples and TPH-d was <br /> detected in one of the seventeen soil samples analyzed from the UST area <br /> TPII-d was detected at low concentiations in the foimei dispenser area and in the mid product line <br /> trench TPH-g and BTEX was also detected in the mid portion of the product line trench TPH-g and <br />' TPH-d were detected in 16 stockpile soil samples BTEX compounds were detected in eleven <br /> stockpile soil samples analyzed <br /> Ground water samples analyzed were impacted with TPH-g and TPH-d at concentrations up to <br /> 77,000 micrograms per liter(ugll) and 70,000 ,ugll, as well as BTEX compounds at concentrations <br /> up to 7,890µg11 of benzene MTBE was detected at a maximum concentration of 3,100,ugll by EPA <br /> method 8020 <br /> A summary of analytical results of water samples are presented in Tables 5 and 6 <br /> 3.0. PROCEDURES <br /> The field activities were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board guidelines for the subsurface investigation of underground storage tanks(UST) sites <br /> The Initial field work included the excavation of approximately 50 yards of hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil under the PH S-EHD-approved Interim Soil Remediation Work Plan prepared by AGE, dated <br /> 16 February 1999 Additionally the scope of work was performed in accordance with the PHS-EHD- <br /> approved Preliminary Site Assessment Work Plan, prepared by AGE and dated 15 June 1999 <br /> 3 1 EXCAVATION OF HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED SOIL <br /> r On 06 June 1999 two separate excavations were established in the area of the former dispenser and <br /> p p <br /> mid-product line An additional 50 cubic yards of significantly petroleum-impacted soil was removed <br /> and stockpiled on site Excavation DT was dug at the location of southern dispenser, along Navy <br /> Drive and T 1 was dug at the location of a product release in the central portion of the product line <br /> trench The total depth of the DT excavation was nine feet below surface grade (bsg) on the west end <br /> and six feet bsg. on the eastern end <br /> IAdvanced CeoFnvironmental,Inc <br />
