1
' 24 dune 2005
• AGE-NC Project No 98-0534
3 3 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the ground water samples collected from well MW-4 at a concentration of
' 100 micrograms per liter (µg/1) In sample MW-4
TPH-d and BTEX compounds were not detected in the ground water samples analyzed
MTBE was detected by EPA Method 8260 in the samples from wells MW-3, MW-4, MW-6 and
MW-8 at concentrations ranging between 2 1 µg/1 (MW-8) and 25 µg/l (MW-4)
The ground water samples collected from well MW-9, on two separate events were non-detect for
the chemicals of concern
No other target analytes were detected in the analyzed samples The current and historical ground
water analytical results are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory report(CTEL Project No CT214-
0502002, 0502116 and 0504034), chain of custody forms and the laboratory quality
assurance/quality control (QA/QC) reports are included in Appendix C GeoTracker confirmation
pages of the submitted laboratory electronic deliverable format (EDF) files are included in
' • Appendix D
' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
' The implications from the first quarter 2005 ground water monitoring events are as follows
• The potentiometnc surface was inferred to be flowing southeast towards well MW-1 and
locally to well MW-4 north of the former UST area, represented by a northeast-trending ridge
at the former UST area
• TPH-g concentrations decreased In well MW-4, while the TPH-g was limited to the area
Inorth of the former UST area(MW-4)
• MTBE was detected in four monitoring wells, with the highest dissolved concentration
' occurring in well MW-4, north of the former UST area, at a concentration of 25 µg/1 An
MTBE iso-concentration map is illustrated on Figure 5 Dissolved MTBE in shallow ground
water appeared to be delineated by the well network MTBE was not detected in two
consecutive sampling events from well MW-9,screened at 65 feet bsg Dissolved MTBE in
ground water appeared to be delineated by the well network
•
' Advanced GeoEnvironmentsl,Inc
