Soil samples will be collected in four selected borings at depths of 1, 3 and 5 feet bsg; <br /> soil samples will be collected in four borings at depths of 2 and 4 feet bsg; and a single soil sample <br /> will be collected at a depth of 5 feet in one boring(to be placed outside of any apparent fill dirt area <br /> and utilized for"background"analysis). Proposed probe boring locations area illustrated in Figure <br /> 2. Field procedures for advancement of probe boring and collection of soil samples are presented in <br /> Sections 5.1 and 5.2. <br /> The discrete soil samples will be submitted to a State of California Department of Health Services <br /> (DHS)-certified laboratory and composited 4:1 by depth (e.g. four 1-foot samples will be <br /> composited). Selected composite samples will be analyzed for the following constituents: <br /> • California Assessment Manual (CAM) 17 metals using various EPA Methods; <br /> • Organochlorine Pesticides using EPA Method 8081; <br /> • A petroleum carbon-chain analysis using EPA Method 8015; <br /> • Benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and total xylenes(BTEX)using EPA Method 8260 or 8020; <br /> • Reactivity, Corrosivity and Ignitability(RCI) using various EPA Methods; <br /> • Abbreviated 96-hour Screen Bioassay(toxicity); <br /> • Volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 8260; and <br /> • Semi-Volatile organic compounds using EPA Method 8270. <br /> Laboratory reports for soil analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality control <br /> (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report with <br /> findings and recommendations. <br /> 4.3. REPORT PREPARATION <br /> Upon completion of field work and receipt of final laboratory analysis, a report will be prepared <br /> presenting the findings of the investigation. The report will include a description of the work <br /> performed and results of the sampling and analysis. <br /> 5.0. FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> All field procedures will be overseen by an AGE representative under the supervision of a California <br /> Professional Geologist.
