k9j KLEINFELDER
Task 5 - Report Preparation
Upon completion of soil and groundwater sampling, and receipt and review of analytical results,
a report will be prepared for client review. The report will include:
• A description of field activities, observations, and protocols;
• Lithologic logs and, if appropriate, interpreted geologic cross sections;
• Results of the sample analysis with copies of certified analytical laboratory results
with chain-of-custody documentation;
• Description and documentation of QA/QC procedures employed for field and
laboratory work; and
• An assessment of the results, with conclusions and recommendations.
All information gathered during the study by Kleinfelder is considered confidential and will be
released only upon written authorization from the client or as required by law. California law
requires a person to inform the state if a situation is encountered that can be considered an
immediate endangerment to the public's health or welfare and/or to the environment.
40 SCHEDULE
Kleinfelder could initiate drilling activities within 3 to 5 working days of receiving written
authorization to proceed by the client and the PHS/EHD. Our report of the temporary monitoring
well installation and groundwater sampling will be submitted for client review within 10 to 15
working days of receiving analytical results. Verbal results can be provided upon our receipt of
the analytical data. The estimated completion time for Tasks 1 through 3 is approximately 3 to 5
weeks from approval by the client and the two agencies noted above.
5 Q CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUMPTIONS
> Adequate work space and access will be provided. Kleinfelder will attempt to install the
temporary monitoring wells and collect samples at the proposed locations. If the drilling
equipment cannot be positioned, alternative drilling locations or sampling methods
should be investigated.
> The temporary monitoring wells are to be installed with a truck mounted drill rig
equipped with hollow stem augers. If difficult drilling conditions are encountered,
alternative methods may be necessary.
20-3712-08.E01/2018P098 Page 4 of
© 1998 Kleinfelder, Inc. April 8, 1998
