Limited Environmental Investigation May 21, 1990
Proposed Unocal Station, Stockton, California AGS 30010-1
The results of the laboratory analyses of the soil samples are shown on Table 3. The
concentrations of hydrocarbons, VOC's, PCB's and pesticides were below the detections
levels for the analyses used. Lead, chromium, and zinc were detected at total
concentrations below the respective Soluble Threshold Limit Concentrations (STLC)
outlined in Title 22, California Administrative Code, Section 66699.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The results of the field investigation and laboratory analyses indicate that soil beneath the
site has not been adversely affected by the selected constituents. Detections of heavy metal
in soil samples probably indicate naturally-occurring conditions. Applied GeoSystems
recommends no additional subsurface environmental investigation at this site at this time.
LIMITATIONS
This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted standards of environmental
geological practice in California at the time this investigation was performed. This
investigation was conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating environmental conditions
of the soil and ground water with respect to selected constituents at the site. No soil
engineering or geotechnical references are implied or should be inferred. Evaluation of the
10
AR,014901 GeoSystems
