PREVIOUS LAND USE AND HISTORICAL RECORDS
The chronologically selected aerial photographs of the property were reviewed at Cartwright Aerial
Services in Sacramento on October 17, 1990. The earliest photo (August 2, 1963) shows the
property to have been agricultural with probably a grass or cereal crop under cultivation.
Subsequent photos dated 12/30/73, 8/22/84, and 7/19/88 showed similar conditions.
LEAKING UNDERGROUND FUEL TANK CASES
A review of the leaking fuel tank list maintained by the San Joaquin County Public Health Service
revealed that there no cases within a radius of 2000 feet. The direction of the regional ground
water gradient in the vicinity of the property is south to southwest. There is no
commerciaLrndustrial development immediately north or east of the property. This minimizes
potential sources of ground water contamination from the upgradient direction.
The BP Station (formerly Mobil) on the southwest corner of West and March Lanes is slated for
complete renovation. The tanks existing tanks will be removed and examined for integrity. Soil
samples will be obtained from beneath the tank and tested for petoleum hydrocarbons. Currently,
however, there is no evidence of a problem associated with this station. The tanks have been
pressure tested annually, and a vadose monitoring system is in place
The depth to ground water(>60 feet),in conjunction with the low permeability of the subsurface
materials, makes it a very low probability that subsurface contamination could ever migrate beneath
the property from an off-site source.
REVIEW OF OTHER REGULATORY AGENCY LISTS
Abandoned Sites Program Information System (ASPIS)
Queried October 11, 1990. There is only one case on the ASPIS list within 2000 feet of the
property. Clark's Pest Control was identified by the Food and Agriculture List for possession of
polychlorinated organics. The case was identified to be not a problem based on a drive-by survey
and classified as no further action (NFA) necessary on July 28, 1982.
CERCLIS (The database of the Comprehensive Environmental Response. Compensation and
Liability Act of 1980 .CERCLA)
Queried October 11, 1990. There are no listings within a one mile radius of the property
RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act)List
Queried October 11, 1990. There are no current RCRA listings within 2000 feet of the property.
EPA Hazardous Waste Generator ID Numbers are issued to businesses or individuals that generate
hazardous materials on their premises which are disposed under manifest and not recycled.
BEP (Bond Expenditure Plan)
Queried October 11, 1990. T here are no listings within a one mile radius of the property
-4-
